Families are now able to apply for yellow school bus service for the 2026-27 school year. Service levels and fees are outlined below. Registration is available through your MyCBE account. (If you do not already have an account, learn how.)
Families must apply by Sunday, June 14, 2026 for students to be added to routes for the start of the next school year. We continue to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing bus stop with available space. Processing times for registrations submitted after the June 14 deadline will be delayed. It may take until mid-October before your child is able to ride the bus.
Confirmed routes will be posted in MyCBE in August.

Transportation Fees
CBE Transportation fees will be finalized when the budget is approved by the Board of Trustees at the end of May.
We recognize this is a significant increase. There are a couple of reasons for the fee increase. CBE Transportation has been operating with an operating reserve for the last several years that has been used to supplement fees. This reserve has now run out and the overall cost of providing this service has increased.
Families can cancel with no financial impact by submitting a cancellation form by Sept. 30, 2026.
Conditional Riders
Conditional riders are students who are not eligible for school bus transportation because they live inside the walk zone OR have a different walk zone than a younger sibling at the same school OR are not attending their designated school.
Application forms will be available after June 14, 2026.
Applications are approved by CBE Transportation on a first-come first-served basis depending on space and availability.
You will be informed by CBE Transportation once a decision is made regarding the conditional rider request. This may take up to six weeks after the start of the school year.
Alternate Address Requests
Families can request an alternate address to their transportation registration to access an alternate bus stop and/or route. This provides flexibility to access bus stops and routes to support childcare arrangements and changing family schedules.
You must register and complete the Request for Alternate Address form in MyCBE by June 14, 2026. The additional cost to add an alternate address is $250. Learn more about this option on the CBE Transportation website.
Transportation Orientations
My 1st Ride
First-time riders and their parents can attend an orientation session consisting of a 20-minute presentation followed by a short ride on a school bus and a drama presentation. The sessions are on May 23 and 24 and are free but you must register in advance.
My Transit Ride
Middle or high school students transitioning to Calgary Transit and their families can attend orientation sessions designed to increase a student's comfort level and ability to ride Calgary Transit safely and efficiently. The sessions are on Aug. 13 and 16 and are free but you must register in advance.
